Seville; Religious Shrines in Japan; and Flamenco Performers in

As
an aerial reconnaissance and public affairs specialist (for nine
years) with the Department of the Navy, he developed special photographic
techniques and programs and taught photographic courses. From
1960 - 1969 Scott served in the U. S. Navy and rose to Photographers
Mate First Class while serving in various photographic laboratories
located within the United States, Europe, and Asia. Specialties
included Aerial Photographer, Public Affairs Photographer, Studio
Photographer, Color and Black & White and Positive Processing
Specialist, Color and Black & White Printing Specialist, Graphic
Arts Photographer, Portrait Photographer, and Lithographer. After
discharge from active duty in 1969 Scott joined the Naval Reserves
and continued his photographic experiences as a Chief Photographer
with various U. S. Naval Reserve units. Scott was a Public Affairs
Officer and Photographic Officer for two Reserve Naval Mobile
Construction Battalions and was the Public Affairs Officer for
the Naval Reserve Center, Medford, Oregon until retiring in 1983.
During
this period, Scott also worked with the U. S. Geological Survey,
first as a photo Lithographer in Menlo Park, California then as
the Assistant Photographic Lab Chief and subsequently as the Chief
of the Quality Assurance Section for the EROS Data Center, Sioux
Falls, South Dakota. Scott developed various special photographicsystems
to incorporate the State-of-the-Art in electronic satellite data
conversion to photographic films. Developed standard operating
procedures for photographic reproduction equipment, quality controls
and inspection systems for photographic reproductions from 16mm
in size (black and white and color) up to and including 40" X
40" in size (black and white and color) on both film and paper
media. Developed Quality Assurance and control systems, procedures
and standards whereby quality photographic products could be distributed
to the customer. This was the first quality assurance program
in electronic and photographic reproductions from satellite imagery.
Also, during this period he developed the first product specifications
for final photographic and electronic products produced by this
facility.
Scott
moved back to Menlo Park in 1979 and continued working with the
U. S. Geological Survey in the capacity of Regional Administrative
Officer for the Office of Earthquake Studies. Scott left his position
with the federal government in 1982 and moved to Grants Pass,
Oregon with his wife and children.
Starting
his own company in 1984, Scott has continued his high quality
standards while producing photographic products for Real Estate
Marketing, Real Estate Insurance, Entertainment, Estate Planning,
Legal, Landscape Design, Land Use Planning, and Tourism markets.
In addition, seeing a need for Land Use Consulting capabilities
in the Rogue Valley, Scott started Land Use Associates in 1991
to accomplish Land Use Assistance for Property Owners in their
efforts to overcome the paperwork required to accomplish their
land use efforts.
Land
Use Associates developed into Global Photos in 1996 with Scott
doing what he does best and loves most...photography. Global Photos
is a full service commercial photographic company located just
